USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), a Nimitz-Class Super Carrier, is scheduled to enter the Middle East for the first time in years, bringing unparalleled air power with it.
The USS Abraham Lincoln is able to generate 125 strike sorties per day for 30 consecutive days.
Each sortie is able to service six targets -- land, sea, fixed or mobile -- meaning the USS Lincoln can hit up to 750 targets each day from its onboard airwing capability alone.
The carrier's air capabilities include an F-35C squadron and three F/A-18E/F Super Hornet squadrons, among many other aircraft.
Unmatched air power
The world's first and only long-range stealth strike fighter designed exclusively to operate from the decks of aircraft carriers, the F-35C sets new standards in weapon system integration, lethality, maintainability, combat radius and payload.
The F-35C is the naval variant of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, capable of conducting air-to-air, air-to-ground and electronic warfare missions.
The aircraft is designed to be low-observable, which means that it can evade detection by enemy radar systems. This feature makes it an ideal platform for conducting stealthy missions deep inside enemy territory.
The F-35C can carry more than 2.6 tons of ordnance internally, or more than 10 tons of combined internal and external weapons in "beast mode."
Meanwhile, the powerful, versatile F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is the US Navy's primary strike and air superiority aircraft.
Super Hornets provide air superiority, fighter escort, reconnaissance, air defense suppression and day or night precision strike.
It can carry a variety of missiles including the AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile, Harpoon anti-ship missile, AGM-88 HARM air-to-surface missile, Supersonic Low Altitude Missile and Maverick air-to-ground missile, among others.
Marine Corps
The US Marine Corps currently provides F-35B and F-35C air squadrons in support of five US Navy Super Carriers and four Marine Corps amphibious assault ships.
This strategy has allowed the US Marine Corps to develop all the F-35 naval opportunities and allows the US Navy to stay focused on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornets, which still comprise the vast majority of naval warplanes.
The USS Wasp is one such amphibious assault ship, currently part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, which is deployed and ready to respond to crises in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The ARG has more than 4,500 sailors and Marines and can support the MV-22 Osprey, AV-8B Harrier and F-35Bs, which can land vertically like a helicopter and take off in very short distances.
O, dear, we're really frightened! What good does this info do? Muslims' weapon is their faith. We fear none but Allah!
ReplyAmerica is supporting Israel in its aggression on Gaza. Arabs can't support them even with food. Arabs and Muslims have become like useless things.
